Pre Wedding Duties

On the day duties include

Meet & reassure the Bridegroom & Groomsmen

Liaise with Priest/Vicar/ Registrar

Meet the wedding co-ordinator and check timings

Check the ceremony room

Meet and greet all the pre wedding guest arrivals

Be on hand all day to answer guest questions

Assist Ushers with their duties

Direct family members and guests to their seats in the ceremony room

Meet & reassure Bride & Bridal Party escort into the ceremony room

Post ceremony drinks reception

Coordinate with the official photographer and ushers in gathering guests

Check room where the wedding breakfast is being served.

Check top table correctly laid out.

Announce to guests to view the table seating plan

Organise and conduct receiving line (if required)

Announce the Bride & Bridegroom into the room and escort to the top table

Announce grace before wedding breakfast service begins (if required)

Circulate guest book for guests to write a personal message.

Announce the cutting of the cake and propose to guests to bring their cameras

Gather all the flowers and gifts ready for Bride & Bridegroom to distribute

Introduce the speakers for wedding toasts

[Speeches] Introduce the proudest man in the room The Father of the Bride

[Speeches] Introduce the happiest man in the room the bridegroom

[Speeches] introduce the bravest man in the room The Best man or men!

Announce the exit of Bride & Bridegroom from the wedding breakfast.


Evening Reception

Announce Cutting of the cake

Traditionally, the cake is cut after the meal and after the speeches. Bride & Bridegroom make the first cut to signify sharing their life. 

Announce first dance

Bride and bridegroom dance on their own to the first dance after a short while guests will be invited to join them on the dance floor leading into another song.

Announce bouquet throwing ceremony

A medieval tradition, for the Bride to toss her bouquet to the gathered bridesmaids or single ladies. The one who catches the bouquet are said to marry next.

Announce evening buffet

The evening buffet is normally served for evening guests only.

Party time!

After all the formalities from the day and parts of the evening its time for the guests to let their hair down on the dancefloor.
